Training Schedule

HAZWOPER 8-hour Emergency Response Annual Refresher

This one-day (8-hour) course is designed as a refresher training course for those individuals who have successfully completed the initial HAZWOPER Emergency Response courses (First Responder Awareness Level, First Responder Operations Level, Hazardous Materials Technician, Hazardous Materials Specialist, On-Scene Incident Commander, and First Responder/Receiver for EMS). This annual training is required within one year of the initial certification. This courses discusses and reviews changes in Federal and State regulations as well as relevant, upcoming legislation. In addition, developments in state-of-the-art practices and technologies, as well as key aspects from the initial training are discussed. After completion of this annual refresher course, participants will have their certification extended for an additional year.

Prerequisite: Certified completion of the appropriate initial HAZWOPER Emergency Response course.
