Training Schedule

Effective traffic control is essential to protect workers and the general public.  Most traffic accidents that occur around road construction sites can be attributed to improper signage and warning to motorists. Each person whose actions affect the flow of traffic or redirection of traffic shall be trained on these basic techniques. 

This course covers the proper equipment, operating rules, and professional attitude during this important assignment.

Our traffic control course will discuss the proper ways to set up signs to convey a clear message. The course will also cover the fundamental principles of traffic control including:

v  Channelizing devices and barricades

v  Construction signs

v  Control of traffic through work zones

v  Flagger safety

v  Personal protective equipment

v  Cal/OSHA Construction Safety Order 1599

v  Regional standards for San Diego County (if applicable)

v  Regulations and standards
