Designed for individuals who may be exposed to fall hazards in the workplace and/or may be designated by the employer as the Fall Protection Competent Person on a site. This course enables individuals to recognize the hazards of falling and to correctly use procedures to minimize these hazards. Topics include: fall hazards; selection, installation, maintenance, and inspection of fall protection systems, including guardrails, personal fall arrest systems, safety nets, warning lines, safety monitors, controlled access zones, and covers; and, the role of the Competent Person in fall protection plans. Includes hands-on training sessions with a variety of fall protection systems.
